      As a kid I always liked the 2nd better, but I think that’s because sequels are cheaper to broadcast on tv since they’re usually less successful, hence why I saw it more.

      As an adult, I have a renewed appreciation the first, for why it is the better movie though.

      Didn’t know he had a deal structured like that for Home Alone 2. Just assumed, wrongly, he was paid lucratively for the sequel. Home Alone is great as is Home Alone 2.

      It makes me really happy to see how happy and chill he seems to be these days. He seemed to be in a dark period for a while.

      The scene where Marv gets electrocuted in the apartment puts me on the floor every time I watch it. That’s why it’s my favorite one.

      The second movie is better than the first. Both are great films but I like the story more in the second film.

      As long as we agree that there only 2 Home Alone movies, he is not wrong. The second film is better.

      I view them like Godfather I & II.

      Just one long amazing movie with all the same cast and creatives.

      I think the next sequel needs to be the McAllister parents, suffering from advanced dementia, having to defend the home against a Welfare Check after the caretaker Kevin hires fails to show while Kevin is on vacation.
