not over, only delayed,~~it’s for 99 years~~, who’s to say what happens after that, if they choose to extend it or not.

edit: they can extend it up to 99 years. Then they can decide to extend it after that

    2. It’s a declaration and not an agreement. Can it have some consequences? Maybe, but this isn’t a treaty. Even if it were, you’d need some third party enforcement mechanism that is fully committed to act.

      1. The U.S. and Azerbaijan will profit off this corridor. Not to mention that the U.S. can now resume selling weapons to Azerbaijan.
      2. Once the corridor is constructed, Armenia will geographically be split in two.
      3. Azerbaijan will bide its time and one day allege that Armenian „terrorists“ south of the corridor are attacking cargo or people. You know the rest.

This looks like more of US-Russia tactics than helping Armenia or Azerbaijan. In fact Armenia should be very very careful of countries like USA. Wherever, in whichever country they intervened, got into, or forcefully entered, they have ruined the country.

They got rid of section 907. That means USA can sell weapons to Azeris.

Now, does that also mean they will sell to Armenia?

      This does not sound good.

Aliyev regime relies on anti-Armenian propaganda. That’s huge part of how his father came into power. This conflict won’t be over until this regime falls and Azeris stop being taught that Armenia belongs to them.

To be honest, Aliyev spoke very well at the end. He praised the USA, the capital, the building, the President and spoke very well in general.

Pashinyan had a chance to say something great but responded by following Aliyev and saying “Nothing to add, I agree with everything.”

Maybe it’s better he didn’t say anything as I’m sure he would have looked like a fool.

I really hope I’m wrong but what if the purpose of this corridor all along was to allow Azerbaijan to arm Nakhchivan more easily and eventually start a two front war to capture Syunik? God I hope I’m wrong and it really is about economic benefit to them but this makes me so nervous

the conflict will not be over until the Azeri regime crumbles under its own fundamentally anti-Armenian nature, is made to recognise the imperative, on both sides, for a real peace that acknowledges Armenians as equals, and Armenian sovereignty over Artsakh is restored.

      We will return.

That man seriously bit his lip as he put his two hands over theirs…just wow.

Aliyev just gave his word to an Armenian reporter in front of the White House that Azerbaijan is done with wars and has no hidden intentions or plans to attack. Save the video just in case lol

    12. Trump’s ego is now involved. Aliyev can’t just start spewing nonsense, or he’ll get „India’d“ and he clearly doesn’t want that. We finally have a qualitative check and balance. It’s not much, but it’s more than we had.

    13. Cool, but how you shake hands with a guy that oversaw the ethnic cleansing of your people from his county?
