yes, feeding your addiction in the morning boosts your withdrawal induced mood. Caffeine and nicotine in the morning is the best

This required a study? The commercial was not enough? Best part of waking up is folgers in your cup? People being grumpy before coffee was not a clue?

And anxiety is on the rise, colour me surprised.

Survey indicates that the best time to eat is when you are hungry and that the best time to sleep is when you’re tired! Thanks MIT!!

Why are you surveying them? Their brains are barely fully formed.

So much gloom and doom in the comments but a cup or two of coffee per day has benefits for many people and it isn’t just about staving off caffeine withdrawal.

Does drinking water work better if you’re not addicted to coffee?

But also, they still tired. Caffeine is literally a drug that puts a “silence bubble” around the part of your body’s system that says “hey! We’re tired! You need to sleep!” So your brain never gets the message and thus you “feel” awake because your brain doesn’t hear anything from the body telling it that it’s tired.
Sounds perfect, right? Just stay awake forever! Wrong!
Eventually those same systems that caffeine put a silence bubble around, will eventually cause your body to do a “hard shutdown.” I.e. you will start to faint over and over, for reasons your brain won’t be able to conjure. But in reality it’s your body forcing sleep as a last ditch effort because otherwise your body will just stop being alive.

Yeah but after being off caffeine for awhile, the lows are just not worth it to me.

caffeine is a drug that is addictive which then destroys healthy sleep cycles triggering a deep spiral of insomnia life and the collateral damage of that. can it be used in moderation and wisely? yes. can humans be trusted to do so???

Good lord so much hate. Every well run study of coffee shows it has a net benefit on the consumers health.
