Who is Naresuan the Great?
Naresuan the Great was a military officer and later on a king of Ayutthaya and Sukothai (present day Thailand)
Phraya Lawaek is a word that is used to refer to the lineage of the royal family of the Khmer Empire (present day Cambodia)
Naresuan and Phraya Lawaek have been at war for a long time, back in the late 1700s. Notable events were the attempts to attack the Ayutthaya kingdom, which failed and resulted in the outer skirt of the cities being pillaged and civilians being slaughtered and taken. Until Naresuan the Great decided to attack the Khmer empire in 1773, which resulted in Khmer defeat and led to the downfall of their lineage later on.
