I’m so glad I didn’t join up in early 2016 when Obama extended the age cap. I was in the best shape of my life and thought I’d go for it, and my friends talked me out of it. I’m so thankful they did.

Remember when they made a big deal about people who refused to take a vaccine being discharged and acted like it made our country less safe? The irony of acting like that was the greatest tragedy to servicemen when the U.S. government has historically **mandated vaccines for military personnel for centuries** (including for anthrax in the 2000s, which reaffirmed the president themselves can order it in 2007) .and then to not only remove these soldiers who followed all the rules but THEN going on to strip them of their military benefits for years of service is disgusting.
It’s almost as if their problem wasn’t about national security and ensuring the US military isn’t removing people willing to serve… 😛
