Just perused her wiki. Some interesting things there, like a doctor indicating „bowel narrowing,“ something that would be opposite of what one would expect from a sex act.
Even more interesting is that the reference provided from 1988 is no longer available at archive. Can’t find it on my own either, although there is an article from ’88 about her family suing the docs and hospital.
Honestly, might be something to this one.
There’s a lot of weird things about her death, but I’m not sure how much Speilberg was even around her. He only wrote and produced the first film and had no involvement in the other two. Unless there’s some other evidence linking them spending time together, this is a pretty thin accusation. I’ve read lots of things about her death and that of Dominique Dunne’s, along with the other Poltergeist curse stories. Never saw any kind of suspicion of this before.

Start from the point of what happened to Heather O’Rourke. Like how she died in 1988 and Poltergeist came out in 1982. She was infected with giardiasis. Then was found to have intestinal stenosis and doctors believe it was congenital. The same doctor who mentioned it was odd also said that „possible for congenital bowel narrowing to cause sudden death without symptoms if an infection caused the bowel to rupture.“
Hollywood is full of sick freaks that sexually assault children and adults. This death doesn’t point to such an instance.
I see this one pop up every now and then. The more I have researched it, the less substantial it seems.
This post gives even less info, but when people share screen grabs from twitter or 4chan, the timelines and locations never add up.
It always just seems like a rumor started by someone that Spielberg pissed off.
She could’ve had those things happened to her, but I’ve never seen good evidence and nothing remotely close on Spielberg.

surprisingly Heather herself appears on the show to squash the rumors she had passed away! Okay, this show would have aired 2001/2002. Supposedly Heather died in 1988, right?

I vividly recall the woman looked identical to Heather. I mean the resemblance was uncanny.

I think this is from a Crazy Days and Nights post that I can’t currently find, but here’s what I remember. Spielberg did abuse her, but her death was the result of a single gang-rape session in am LA studio with multiple execs.
When you know the rest of Spielberg’s controversial history this version of events makes a lot of sense
