Oh my god, I try not to make Nazi comparisons when it comes to this administration. They have their own dangerous ideologies and each country would have their own version of authoritarian government. So all comparisons are imperfect and inflammatory.
But this, it has to be Trump purposefully referencing Berlin ‘36 right? Jesus Christ, the Olympics were designed to showcase the opposite of military strength. To have athletic competition instead of killing each other. The military having a role feels like a threat to to all of the participating countries.

My son has said he was going in the military since he was old enough to say military. He is a junior in high school and has been the first time he said “ I am not joining trump militia aka the military” sad trump has turned the military into a negative view for the up coming generation of recruits.

Maybe Gov Newsom needs to tell the Olympic committee that they do not wish to host the Olympics due to the current administration’s hostility towards foreigners.
