    1. The Goes Wrong Show was the single funniest original comedy show I had ever seen on the BBC, can’t recommend it enough.

To see great shows like that get cancelled while Mrs Brown’s Boys keeps getting renewed despite the cast being racist, tax dodgers and quite frankly talentless, is completely mind boggling.

I didn’t even know it was still on, thought it was cancelled years ago.

I refuse to believe that 8.5 million people ever watched Mrs Brown’s Boys.

I have never watched even one nanosecond of this programme yet somehow aware that it is the worst thing ever devised. How could it possibly have gotten worse?!

    5. I love the phrasing of this so much.

„Fans complain ‚it’s got even worse.'“

As though the fans *themselves* already acknowledged it was shite to begin with.

    6. winkwinknudge_nudge on

BBC continues to be baffled why people flock to streaming services.

Wild to me it had 8.5 million viewers to lose. I think I’d be more entertained reading the back of a Dettol bottle while sat on the can with the worst stomach this side of the country.

I didn’t realise it was hated. This is one of my dad’s favourite programs.

It has been total shit since S1.

Not an original joke in any episode.

    10. I even liked the first few series. Everyone in the new one just felt tired, to the point when they dropped *spoiler* I really thought they had decided to wind it up

    11. 1995LexusLS400 on

I didn’t even know it had 8.5 million viewers in the first place.

    12. reminds me of Extras with Ricky putting on fake glasses and a wig, that’s the level of this dross

I refuse to believe that it could have gotten „even worse“. It’s already one of the worst TV programmes I’ve ever seen.

This is a show a lot of elderly people watch, it’s been going on for 15 years? Give or take, a lot of the original viewers are probably dead now.

    15. No_Season_354 on

I watched of a few of them, then it got boring just more of the same .

    16. somnamna2516 on

Hate how he says “feck” all the time. It’s like he’s watched Father Ted and thinks that’s what made it funny, not that it was a million times wittier and more surreal than this *fecking shite*

Didn’t know it was still on. I thought it got axed they had a final Xmas special about 7 years ago I thought.

First season was alright since it was new but didn’t hold my interest long, especially after their movie. Then they started using the same jokes and punch lines as if they only ever wrote 10 jokes.

    18. I can’t be the only one who just wants to give the mole on his face a big ol’ slap.

    19. This show has always felt like a relic that has somehow been dragged out the late 80’s and brought into the modern day, cannot understand how it became so popular.

    20. I hate it so much I can’t even look at a still image of it. Its honestly just so fricken bad. I can’t handle it!!

    21. DevilishLighthouse on

Never watched it, but the trailer for the new series has a pimp my ride joke. In 2025.

    22. All the old boomers loved it. Maybe there’s a correlation between the drop in viewers and the death rate of boomers?

    23. „Fans“ are saying it’s even worse? So the fans already thought it was shit? What?

    24. SEUKDnDSeeker on

Tbh I’m surprised Rowling hasn’t scraped some of the mould off her walls and emerged from her cave to condemn this blatant act of womanface.

    25. I know I’m not the first one with this comment, but I’m going anyway:

How is it possible to be worse?

This is one of the worst pieces of television ever to exist, it was through the bottom of the barrel and three floors into the basement from the off.

    26. We went from having comedies like The Royle family and one foot in the grave to this nonsense!

    27. Cats_oftheTundra on

I know it’s the Reddit hive mind but the Mrs Brown’s hate is weird. It’s not for you. It’s not really for me either, but it’s an older style of humour. One day all the things you like will be hated and you won’t understand why. All the ways you are politically correct will be insulting to future people and you’ll think they’re just woke.

    28. I_am_Reddit_Tom on

Never understood the hate. Like it or don’t, and my family is split. But to hate it this much?

    29. Goblinstomper on

Im so glad we have the BBC hounding us for TV license money to pay for this shit

    30. DangerousToast on

It’s good to know that while fascist thoughts are no longer hidden whispers that you will still never see someone openly admit to being a MBB fan.

    31. Philthedrummist on

Series 1 was pretty funny. A lot of reused jokes and old humour but well enough put together that it got a few laughs out of me. Series 2 was…fine. By series 3 it was done. God knows what dirt Brendan O’Caroll has on the BBC to keep getting recommissioned.

    32. My Nan used to watch this all the time when she was alive, I would come in and she would be in fits of giggles, sometimes crying of laughter. I am glad it existed because of the joy it brought her but I remember the one time I had to sit through it  they full on stole the „I’m serious and don’t call me Shirley“ joke from Airplane. Word for word.
