      Clickbait title.

      He made a joke that his shingles were caused by anxiety, but they aren’t. Shingles is a type of herpes, like chicken pox. He never said his migraines were caused by anxiety, just that he gets migraines. The Migraines cause the vision loss with aura.

      I have had shingles from anxiety and I was otherwise healthy 30 year old.

      I work in healthcare and I have such bad anxiety I can barely talk to people. I thought it’d help me fix my anxiety and it kind of has.

      But I’ll bring someone to a room and they are like 😁. And by the time I leave they are looking at me like 🤨.

      I had shingles from stress in my early 30s and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

      Now I have this pitted scar over my eye on my forehead and it’s the worst.

      While stressors can trigger *flareups* of shingles, anxiety does not *cause* shingles; the virus (herpes zoster) is already present, contracted earlier at some point, and stressors such as anxiety, illness, etc. trigger a flareup.

      Man everything I’ve heard about working on SNL makes it seem only slightly less stressful than being a brain surgeon

      I hate to hear these kinds of things about my favorite performers. I want to see more of their work, and this probably means there will be less.

      I got shingles at 22 triggered by a tough period dealing with panic disorder. Nothing like being wrecked with stress and then being in excruciating pain lol

      oh man I feel this, I get really itchy flashes when I’m anxious and on the verge of a panic attack. shingles would be hell.

      Hader’s choice of a vocation is certainly interesting, given those maladies.
