Was ist passiert?

Itâs mostly a seasonal treat, reserved for New Years or sometimes celebrations so that might be why you canât find them in store atm.
Itâs a bit of a seasonal treat typically served at New Yearâs Eve, it used to be more common at other types of celebrations (weddings, high school graduations, anniversaries etc) but it has somewhat fallen out of fashion.
Anyway I found it at the webpage of MENY https://viborg.meny.dk/produkter/karen-volf-kransekage-m-4-stk-5709364673633
They are usually only sold up to New Year’s Eve and then in the middle of the year up to graduation. I rarely see them beyond those periods. đ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸
Ask a bakery. They can make it for you. Or do it by yourself aint that hard.
They are very easy to make, so i would suggest finding a recipe and doing it yourself đ
Kransekage is usually only eaten on new years eve in my experience, so it’d be quite hard to find it at any other time of the year.
Don’t know about the packaged stuff though.
We usually only eat them around New Yearâs Eve, so they can be hard to find in the summer. I can recommend making them yourself. It is very easy!
You can usually find „kransekagemasse“ in the bigger stores so you just pipe it yourself
Just a little tip: Sometimes they appear when our high school students graduate close to summer. Then they will be a part of a âspotâ selection in supermarkets weekly newspaper
Itâs really easy to make yourself. Hereâs a recipe in English. You donât have to make it into a tower. Just make plain âsticksâ and dig in: https://skandibaking.com/kransekage-marzipan-wreath-cake/
Although a new years treat you are absolutely right. I did not think of this
You might be lucky if you go to the big supermarkets like Føtex, Kvickly or Bilka. I think I saw them in Meny last week but it might just be my brain making stuff up.
They have them in my local Meny all year round. Maybe try one of those! Whilst they are seasonal, I think Karen Wolf knows we’ll eat them all the time if we get the opportunity.
Bilka have kransekage year round. And they are better quality than the Karen Volf.
the best bid would be looking inside a rema 1000 for these even if it seasonal u can find them from time to time.
Bilka sometimes has, they also sell dough for it so you can make yourself, same for superbrugsen, but it’s more seasonal and then sometimes you are lucky they bought home a box or two outside the season.
