I’m glad that hotels are fighting back against the booking platform oligarchy – the overwhelming majority of the booking website market is owned by two companies: Booking & Expedia. Both companies are also a BDS pressure target for allowing illegal West Bank settlements on their platform.
It’s up to us consumers to end the vicegrip that these platforms have on our hotels!
I always book through the hotel website if I travel somewhere.
I usually compare prices on different platforms and always the hotel’s own website. I just pick whoever gives the best price.
