They want to let Texas redistrict then pass a Federal law banning redistricting mid decade. They are already proposing it.

    2. BoredProudLiberal on

They are slow and so unwilling to take the emergency measures they need to to actually combat the desintigration of democracy.

The Dems live on the higher ground while the GOP steals everything. STUPID

Republicans are not waiting around. They are already targeting [Missouri](https://www.politico.com/news/2025/08/05/missouri-redistricting-2026-midterms-00494356) and [Indiana](https://punchbowl.news/article/campaigns/vance-indiana/) to do mid-decade redistricting and draw out Democratic-held seats. Democrats cannot afford to wait to react to the Republicans‘ blatant gerrymandering because by then, it’ll already be too late. States with Democratic governors and trifectas need to act *now*.

I don’t like gerrymandering, but it’s the only way to prevent Republicans from drawing themselves a permanent majority in the House. And Democrats are the only ones willing to pass a federal law to get rid of gerrymandering nationwide, it will *never* happen under Republicans.

    5. The game has changed. There are new rules that republicans are using. Democrats need to play by the same rules republicans do. It doesn’t work being fair with republicans, they have shown that they will not be fair back.

    6. I feel like this type of stuff leads to civil war, anybody else? Republicans could disarm the bomb if they asked for a national standard on districts.

You will be waiting a long time for a democratic politician to follow through on a threat or promise.

Dems continue to be surprised that most Americans don’t just want them to take the gloves off, we want them to put the brass knuckles on.

Sick and tired of Republican bullshit.

    9. And they need to instigate full vote by mail systems. See Oregon for your template.

DNC response: „but we like making money from our corporate donors who want the trappings being „early investors“ and the „ritual performance of philanthropy“ without changing shit. The ability to make money simply because we have money is easier to continue than actually having to persuade people that we are needed“

It is now socialism or more extreme extractive barbarism.

Whether or not that comes from Americans or the world comes to down to the delusions of the status quo.

And those robbed for generations have no reason to be kind to the thieves of infinite potential.

Edit: I agree with Beto’s message but the DNC is basically OCP at this point and wondering why they keep getting Boedicker’d in the polls(that’s a Robocop reference)

Here’s an idea, we can reverse-gerrymander the senate by organizing migration of leftists to Alaska, Idaho and Wyoming.

    12. In the case of Massachusetts at least, it would be a moot point. We haven’t sent a republican to the house since 1990 and haven’t elected a republican to the senate since 1972. Of the forty seats in the state senate, five are held by republicans. Of the 160 seats in the state house of representatives, only 25 are held by republicans. In 2023, the Massachusetts GOP had about 30,000 dollars left in its accounts, and debts totaling almost 700,000 dollars.

Yep. When they go low, we put a boot on their neck and fuck them into the dirt. If a tactic isn’t illegal, use it.

    14. I personally think that most, not all, democrats are „fucking around and waiting“ on purpose. Most don’t care. Which is the whole reason why you’re in this shit to begin with. Why would they change course? They like things just fine because it benefits them as well. Their palms have already been greased.

5 years ago I was banned on a liberal channel because I said liberals are fucked for going high when they go low.

Go low, play dirty, we are not all in this together.

To quote Ministry “So What”: to make a mess and fuck all the rest, we say, so what!

He is right. It is a terrible situation, but we need to do what we have to do.

The Democratic party is utterly fucking useless at best.

      At worst? Complicit!

Some of them aren’t even hiding it anymore.

    18. Most democrats are republicans paid to be on the other side. This is why the right does things like stripping rights and sending away people. While the left writes a stern letter and maybe even some finger wagging.

    19. Strawman-argument on

Yeah let them do Texas and it’s free reign to gerrymander every blue state which have much higher populations with a few exceptions.

    20. ScarecrowMagic410a on

Holy shit how is this guy still in the news? He’s literally blue trump. He frequently flip flops, talks about sending cops into your home for things he doesn’t like, and literally campaigned on ignoring due process.

I swear if Epstein himself mentioned UBI like Beto, y’all would be trying to get tickets to his island like they were bitcoins lmao

Remember when Republicans said they’re all about process and tradition, and then they stonewalled President Obama’s supreme court nomination of Merrick Garland. These people aren’t acting in good faith, and they never will.

We should have learned that a long time ago, but for some reason we keep accepting the delusional that Republicans don’t know what they’re doing.

They’re raping little kids, stealing taxpayer dollars, going on lavish vacations in foreign countries on lobby dollars, and getting away with it. They know they’re going to get away with it, and they fucking love it. The entire Congress… a bunch of fucking pedophiles/rapists and their enablers.

Beto is a failure that has overstayed his 15 minutes of fame. Why pay attention to him?

    23. That-Foot8669 on

The Republicans in the Supreme Court are also complicit now – they maybe getting ready to abolish Elections and proclaim Trump the savior of America for life!

    24. Vladimir_Putting on

But, won’t someone please think of the norms!? We must protect our political norms.

    25. Redistricting isn’t the answer. It’s retaliatory, and honestly, just grimy. You’re upset that people arent going to be represented over there so you decide to not represent people here? That is un-democratic.

The real answer is to draw the unrepresented people away. Create an environment where democrats in red states want to leave and go to blue states or battleground states with blue capitals. When labor leaves, and commerce leaves, the blue states will be richer and the red states poorer, then you can start the process of secession.
