Donald Trump himself has power over the DOJ investigation’s Epstein files that he promised to release. What’s going on with that?

    2. MJcorrieviewer on

Why would Trump have power over the transcripts that he could give away to someone else? He certainly shouldn’t.

    3. KidKilobyte on

The dance of how to get out of jail and keep the files and transcripts hidden goes on.

I hope she double crosses him and releases everything. Since the pardon seems inevitable anyway.

Cartoonishly bad headline to explain what this article is about. From the court motion:

„Jeffrey Epstein is dead. Ghislaine Maxwell is not. Whatever interest the

public may have in Epstein, that interest cannot justify a broad intrusion into grand

jury secrecy in a case where the defendant is alive, her legal options are viable, and

      her due process rights remain.“

Hard to argue with that tbh.

Of course none of this would be a problem if the DOJ released the files that they had, then didn’t have because they didn’t exist, then had again and subpoenad the Clinton’s over, because they exist now.

    6. So the Trump administration thinks the due process rights of a convicted sex trafficker and rapist should be preserved but anyone (illegal or not) kidnapped by ICE does not have the same rights.

      Twisted and demented.

    7. *““Jeffrey Epstein is dead. Ghislaine Maxwell is not,” the court filing begins. “Whatever interest the public may have in Epstein, that interest cannot justify a broad intrusion into grand jury secrecy in a case where the defendant is alive, her legal options are viable, and her due process rights remain.”“*

Oh, so convicted felonious child predators have due process rights, but poor people, citizens or not, have no such rights?

    8. “I don’t know anything about it. They’re going to, what? Meet her?” Trump said when asked about the meeting late last month. “I don’t know about it, but I think it’s something that be—sounds appropriate to do, yeah.… I didn’t know that they were going to do it. I don’t really follow that too much.”

Ghislaine should share the blame with those white men who abused the girls she recruited. I would imagine she has a few promises of money to keep her quiet.

    10. One has to wonder – since the List probably includes a lot of wealthy and affluent people and Trump set up his own cryptocurrency not too long ago….how many blackmail payments have gone through that from these same people? Untraceable payment platform which is what cryptocurrency was established to function as?

Everything is a grift with these people so could all this drama be related to them overplaying their blackmail attempts and now the whole thing has spun out of control?

      Edited for additional comment.

    11. Watching the Blackmailing of a sitting President in full-view and in real time.

all of her crimes are also state crimes. if she is pardoned isnt she just going straight to state jail?

    13. saiyanscaris on

so child predators get due process but immigrants who arent criminals do not is basicly what there saying

    14. Wow. You can just see her pardon cooking. Like a slow motion train wreck. I wonder how MAGA will react?

    15. BallBearingBill on

The fact that Trump has power over anything the DOJ does is mind boggling. And there’s nobody to stop him.

    16. Flat-Emergency4891 on

Maxwell, a convicted child sex-trafficker, who was not American born has exponentially more rights than a darker skinned person who had the audacity to go to work in the morning, never to return to their family. Not a single person caught up in ICE’s bullshit got to sit down with the President’s personal lawyer and #2 at the justice department.

Wake the fuck up America!!!! Clean this fucking mess!!!

    17. The idea that we would trust the testimony of Epstein’s accomplice who herself is still criminally liable for everything she’s done is insane.

That woman has no incentive to tell the truth, her meeting with Trump’s lawyer is extremely suspicious even if there’s nothing there.

Republicans and MAGA always ask „why are they so out to get President Trump? Why do democrats hate him so much? Why is it that they are always suspicious of him.“

The explanation I would offer you would be by way of a political cartoon.

Imagine that you have Donald Trump on a treadmill, wearing a pair of assless chaps. (sorry for the mental image)

Imagine him continually taking a crap, it lands on the treadmill surface, and he just walks through it. Rinse and repeat.

Donald Trump cannot help himself but be the most non-transparent and problematic person.

Remember immediately after the Mueller probe, and all the Russia gate stuff they asked Trump „if another country offers you dirt on a political opponent what would you do? “ and he answers „I think I would like to see it.“

The GOP screams that there is no fire, there isn’t even smoke, and then Donald Trump walks out with a smoke machine making the entire party liars.

What Trumpers call TDS in terms of Trump derangement syndrome should be changed to „Trump dances in shit.“

The man makes his own problems 10 times worse.

His own administration made a big deal about releasing the Epstein files. Pam Bondie said they were on her desk.

The MAGA media ecosystem spent close to eight years calling Hillary Clinton and other liberals pedophiles, saying that LGBT people were hurting kids, indicating that the files would implicate all of them.

Donald Trump finds out his name is in the files, so the FBI is ordered to redact his name. Being in the files is not a sign of guilt automatically, but Trump can’t help himself, so he has to have his name redacted. Makes him look guilty as fuck in the eyes of ordinary people.

They tease that they are gonna release the files, then say there are no files, and now we know they are toying with releasing redacted material.

Trump’s lawyer has private meeting with Epstein’s accomplice. Toys with the idea of „having the right to pardon her.“

Once again TDS = Trump Dances in Shit

Wow, the child rapists are really sticking together on this! Should make it easier to scoop them all up and put them in prison.

      This is clickbait.

Trump DOJ said it would consider releasing grand jury testimony.

      1. This isn’t what we ask for.
      2. These records aren’t the Epstein/Trump files.
      3. Grand jury testimony is almost never released.

Releasing the grand jury testimony would taint a potential jury pool while she is appealing her conviction.

This is exactly why this testimony is almost never released.

I already know the answer. but how in the fuck have we devolved so hard as a country to the point the only person thats ever been convicted in this case can openly admit that the prime suspect has given her cart blanche on what she can/cant say? like 10 yrs ago this wouldve been international news. america deserves to be fucking wiped off the face of the earth if we allow trump to get away with this.
