The obvious strategy is for every witness to mention repeatedly how much Epstein bragged about his time with Trump.
This is going to blow up in their faces.
Trump wants this silenced for a reason, and instead they’re going to give people center stage to talk about his relationship with Epstein.

Republicans need to show some action on Epstein, it’s been perhaps the one singular thing their base won’t ignore (it seems). So by doing a dog and pony show they can claim they are working on revealing everything and bringing the criminals to justice. Ghislaine will corroborate these were the people on the list and the only people. Ghislaine will get pardoned for cooperating and go away. Republicans will push to prosecute the people they subpoenaed at least some of whom are innocent. Democrats will be forced to either defend the innocent parties or be complicit in the railroading of innocent people. Dems will then be positioned as the party that protects pedophiles. Yet im betting every democrats questions will be „did you see President Trump at this event“ or „when you decided to prosecute/not prosecute as Attorney General did President Trump say anything to you?“ and by and large these are people who no longer like Trump.

It is almost as if they are trying to create some kind of smokescreen.

So predictable, but it’s all in the files. Release the files and then issue the subpoenas. It’s the only way to minimize politicization beyond where it already is. Wholesale subpoenas before seeing the files serves to further distract from the truth about Trump, our sitting president who by now is obviously running a coverup.
