Crazy how willing these republicans are to slide straight into authoritarianism

For context: These specific Democrats are ones breaking quorum to prevent a vote on the terrible Texas gerrymandering. They technically aren’t breaking any laws by breaking quorum and they legally cannot arrest them because they are in Chicago, New York, and Boston. If they can hold out until December they can successfully avoid the redistricting before the 2026 midterms. And they have JB Pritzker funding their stay!

The country is watching, Dems. This is the moment to finally grow that spine we’ve all been begging for!

    4. How long will it be before the GOP makes registering as a Democrat illegal?

I have a feeling that Trump will utilize his Neo-Nazi thugs to get involved with this. Let’s see what the Feds do…

Siting the Oregon State walk out – the State did what TEXAS won’t do – let the voter’s decide ….That is one thing that GOP fear most – voters having their say.

Exactly. They can’t do some Fugitive Slave Act type shit and go into different states to arrest people. That isn’t how it works here. At least… not yet.

    9. GOP Texans are so ignorant they actually believe they have legal jurisdiction across the entire country.

    10. People forget democrats have guns also. We just don’t wear it as a badge of honor. Bring it.

Sounds illegal as fuck- Is this where we’re at? Arresting the opposition, just because? wtf Texas?

*The SS has entered the chat*

      *Nods approvingly*

I urge republicans to remember what happened to the SS. History doesn’t repeat itself, but it surely rhymes.

    13. Then republicans should have been arrested when Mike Johnson sent them home for an early vacation because he didn’t want them to do their job.

    14. Democrats pulling this stunt for their voters and republicans pulling this stunt for pedophiles really puts the both parties are the same conversation to bed

This is the same stuff GOP does in congress. Leaving or not showing up to do their job.
