    1. Stop giving a young actress a hard time for just doing an ad that wasn’t even racist.

And keep focusing on Trump and the files.

Remember folks, just because the media claims you should care about something, doesn’t mean you should actually care about it.

With all of the things happening in the world, are we really going to debate a stupid jeans ad? Ha I think this is going too far.

    4. oneblindspy on

      “But Trump endorsed the ad!”

Maybe because Republicans tend to endorse anything that liberals get mad over, as a contrarian move. If no one said anything, nothing would’ve happened

I wish people would channel that energy into protesting and reaching out to their senators and congressmen

    6. I don’t buy it. One dude shouts a thing from off camera? Manufactured outrage by a paid actor. Convince me otherwise.

Just what we needed, another example of people being overly sensitive and outrage being manufactured for clicks.

Do people think there’s any chance russia/other disinformation bots WANT people on the left to freak out over this (and other ridiculous things) to discredit them make them appear stupid?

SS (hah) is not a very bright person. She is famous for exactly 2 assets, one of which is not her brains. Look up any interview. I am perfectly fine with her becoming their spokesperson — par for the course there with the right’s brainless blonde bimbo big-busted talking heads

    10. I could care less about the ad, she just looks like Sid from ice age and they keep trying to push her as a beauty/sex symbol.😒

    11. Captain_Roastbeef on

Who is actually upset about this? Sounds like some maid up rage bait to get people talking about their brand.

I don’t care what anyone says I find Hunter Schaefer to be the more attractive Euphoria blonde.

    13. Whelp. Let het join the amazing careers of other Hollywood superstars like Kevin Sorbo and Scott Baio… Welcome to the D list.

I stand by the claim that if she or AE explicitly mentioned the controversy (“we understand people thought we meant genes and that is unfortunately similar wording and we stand against eugenics”) this would be a non-issue

Refusal to do so only reinforces these beliefs, true or not

(If they did and I missed it, please share so I can be more informed)

    15. I could give a fuck about the ad but the fact that she’s a registered republican while hanging around liberal and left leaning circles and media tells a lot about her character.

    16. Oxygen to a non-issue. These people are idiots, taking attention from things that matter.

She has to realize all the songs she’ll sing all the artist she’ll like. The stand for the opposite of everything she stands for.

Paradox of the tolerant this woman registered for GOP in 2024. Knowing they wanted a dictator. Knowing and all the pedophila. I dont care if she canceled. Its more just we dont have to see her in anything. Easy peasy

Ok… but like… it’s not like she created the ad? Why is she getting the flack for this? I don’t get it.

    19. trustfundbaby on

Literally one person heckled her, and they write the headline to make you think it was a much larger controversy. yuck.

    20. My algorithm told me I should be mad as Sydney Sweeney for unclear reasons.

So I totally hate her right now

    21. Worldly-Draw-3282 on

I am thankful I don’t know who the fuck Sydney Sweeney is or whatever happened with her in some ads.

    22. This is genuinely one of the dumbest, most non sensical stories to dominate the media in recent years. I simply don’t get it

    23. AppointmentNaive2811 on

Hmm – I thought that the controversy was surrounding body positivity, not racism. The racism bit is a stretch; would have made sense from a body positivity perspective, as the add would have gone directly in the face of anything even remotely considered body-positive
