      that is going to be a really bitch of a time for the poor farmer that has to deal with those. the only consolation would be that every wire is a dead russian.

      How thick is a cable? I’m surprised you can see them on grainy video.

      Kind of eerie to think at the end of most of those is the end of someone’s life.

    4. As a farmer I’m a bit sad watching that. I also kinda laugh at the people who stopped using plastic drinking straws and coffee cup lids to save the turtles.

    5. Are they just triggers for traps/mines or is this a new form of barbed wire?

    6. The clean up from this war is going to take decades and probably take a few more lives due to the unexploded ordnance.

      Hopefully Ukrainians can find better and more peaceful uses for all that when it comes to recycling all that cable.

    8. Least of their worries for now, but any idea on the longer term negative impacts of these fiber optic cables (environmental, interfering with farm equipment, animals ingesting) ?
