Awful. And very little likely to be done about it, that country has essentially collapsed. It may be beyond saving.
Why would you go to a country like that under any circumstance? I see she was there volunteering or whatever. It’s a slum. Why do Europeans and white people feel the need to go to and try fix and help all this shit countries that don’t help themselves. Too much munificence. Now hopefully she and they all get freed safely.
Terrible. Read the piece in the Irish Times and she seems like a remarkable woman.
