Firing someone just because they reported things accurately is scary, yes.
„Sign“. Yeah, okay, so we are ignoring the countless federal employees already fired by Trump to dismantle government departments. Ignoring the fact Trump is enacting the Trump tax through tariffs that is suppose to be the job of congress. Then there’s ICE, who is grabbing random people and sending them to concentration camps. Yeah shits been ’scary‘ for a bit now.

Money taken out of politics and put into schools, communities and healthcare facilities.
Media and tech companies pay an attention tax to people who provide data to train their models.
Nobody left to die because of hunger, thirst, lack of shelter, or not having medical coverage.

Full on fascism. We’re beyond the warnings, we are in it now.
Congress is captured and capitulated to him. Supreme Court does nothing but protect him. His cabinet and the entire Executive is made up of Russian assets and bootlicking sycophants.
There is not anything left performing their duty as a check on him, and he’s doing whatever the hell he wants.
Illegal tariffs? sure
Arresting elected members for trying to perform oversight? sure
Deploying the military on US soil illegally to stop protests for his immigration policies? sure
Destroying the government from within by mass firings, shutting down investigations, and closing entire departments? sure
Using the government for propaganda delivery at every turn? sure
Going after every one of your political enemies, and anyone who tries to thwart Russia? sure
Performing military strikes for an ally who is committing genocide, and enabling their war crimes? sure
Getting the ball rolling by unconstitutionally asking for voter information to influence, control, or outright steal the midterm elections next year? sure
The list goes on and on. The USA is now fully under the control of a fascist dictator.

Trump didn’t like the numbers, so he fired the statistician. That’s not governance – that’s authoritarian theater. What’s next, arresting the weather guy for reporting rain?
Trump can’t accept reality. A court rules against him, he wants to fire the judge. A lawyer tells the truth in a trial, Trump fires him. He raises tariffs and interest rates go up and he wants to fire the Fed Chair. He whines about losing the election in 2020. Jobs report bad, fire the job statistician. He can’t even play an honest game of golf.
