He’s right
There won’t be a third term, no election. He’ll stay in power until he dies.
We’re sleepwalking towards it
Trump just had *concepts of plan to build a two hundred million dollar golden ballroom in the White House with Project 2025 funding. That’s not something he’d do out of the goodness of his little heart. He plans to stay for the long haul. He wants the US to be a monarchy where he’s king for life and then his kids can rule. And then their kids, etc.
It is insane that he could not win a senate seat over Cruz. Beto really is a good educated person.
Hopefully he becomes the next governor of texas. Republicans have to stop being stupid.

In short we’re only one far worse pandemic or some other major crisis away from total collapse.

We’re all ignoring the elephant in the room. Trump already looks like he died 6 years ago. He ain’t making it to a third term. There is no way he is healthy enough.

Trump will not run for a third term but he will get it. Vance/Rubio get elected and then Trump is made Speaker. They resign. He reappoints Vance and Rubio to their positions.
The 22nd amendment only prohibits election to the office more than twice. He can ascend to the office of president though because he meets the eligibility criteria under Article II.
Trump won’t even be coherent for a third term.

Just don’t have Trump on the ballot. Surely the SCOTUS won’t go to bat for Trump for a 3rd term if all blue states just don’t have him on the ballot.

The problem is also a lot deeper than just one guy. Trump will be gone from the political scene in a few years, one way or the other, but even if he doesn’t go for it someone on the right *will* want to set themselves up as dictator for life, and it’s best to start aggressively pushing anti-autocracy things *now* rather than once that autocrat is looming on the horizon.
