They’re gonna do it anyway
Join r/PritzkerPosting to support JB Pritzker!
This is just pathetic. Just redistrict democratic states. At some point you have to play the game on a level field.
Call your reps and demand that they fly to Sacramento and encourage Cali to redistrict.
Deja vu again Texas.
This party is so weak right now, it’s hard to imagine. They cannot exert power at any level. Pathetic.
Who’d want to hang around with a bunch of Texas Republicans anyway?
Yes, because this strategy has worked so well before
I remember when they tried to stop the gerrymander back in the 90’s. Didnt work. Sadly.
How do we donate to support the cause? $500 a day fine needs to be dealt with
Why announce where they are going, that’s just stupid. Disperse across the country, take that vacation you’ve always wanted to Japan, etc.
They will just create a workaround… it’s what they do. All while screaming, it’s Bidens‘ fault.
This is the energy we need. Everywhere.
This is the last chance for a turnover in 26
I don’t know why the media isn’t framing this as a brazen attempt to by the Gaggle of Pedophiles to usurp representative democracy
As if these rules matter to Republicans!😂
Fight fire with fire. The way the Republicans have trampled over the democratic process deserves every bit of pushback and fight against them.
This just delays the votes, what are Dems going to do before the next mid terms?
Shouldn’t they have been doing this stuff all along?
Blue states should move to consolidate their power. Texas Republicans are going to push forward on this issue regardless of goings on.
Can someone explain to me how this works and why they are having to go to another state?
Listen now this is something that can actually work…. even if it means them having to stay out of the state until 2026. CALL THEIR OFFICES AND DEMAND IT.
Come on California, start the process.
The republicans will just do it anyway. Does anyone really think the Texas Supreme Court or the nations Supreme Court won’t let them do anything they want? Laws are only for democrats anymore.
This is great. California, NY, and Illinois should move forward with plans to eliminate every red seat they can. Colorado should join them.
Pritzker is definitely in my top 10 these days for Democratic lawmakers
Texas Republicans surrendering their state’s sovereignty to the federal executive. So much for their “Don’t Mess With Texas” attitude. As expected, when told what to do, they jump to it like a bunch of little bitches.
They did something! Let’s get more of this.
Making as big a stink out of this is absolutely the right move.
Democrats also need to start making a plan for the next Congress to refuse to seat representatives-elect from disputed districts in Texas if they gain the majority. Dare the Supreme Court to try and stop them and then pull Andrew Jackson did with the Cherokee if they do. Grow a spine. Put a stop to this.
Didn’t Wisconsin Dems do the same thing back I’m the day?
I remember this because they made a funny parody of On Wisconsin about it.
Edit: Here is the news article from 2011 https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wisconsin-democrats-hiding-face-legal-political-consequences/story?id=12972163
Edit 2: This was also the protest in Madison where the protestor yelled „Fox Lies“ at the Fox News reporter. The reporter said he was from Fox Business and the protestor yelled back, „Fox Lies……about business.“

These were the good old days, folks.
The Republicans in my State (Oregon) [did this six years ago](https://www.oregonlive.com/politics/2019/06/oregon-senate-republicans-leave-the-state-to-avoid-climate-bill-vote.html) to prevent a vote on a climate bill. I remember being very annoyed (because I care about climate issues). Their arguments weren’t unreasonable though (at least on the surface.)
When it’s the only play you have…
