Next election is going to be wild. Basically every party is in unknown terrority. Even the Greens are facing unclear challenges on account of Corbyn

reform and whatever this new party is called have been pretty good lightning rods to attract the crazies from labour and the tories. hopefully the sign of a return to middle ground sane politics.

I hope he’s happy when Reform get in and he’s yet again hogged the political airspace and divided the left and sensible folk.
If he was going to win it would have been back Vs Theresa May.

Corbyn represents a part of the Labour tradition that goes all the way back to the early days of the party. Passed down from Nye Bevin, to Tony Benn, to Corbyn himself.
This party represents this wing’s split from Labour. It has represented and always will represent a significant chunk of the electorate (between 10%-20%, minimum).
To signal to this 10-20% that their ‘tribe’ as it were is being represented by a party, it makes sense that the party would have to have the current leader of that tribe involved. Of course Corbyn is the leader be default.
But just as the people who loved Tony Benn didn’t go away and were reignited by Corbyn, Corbyn’s stepping away does not spell the end for the party PROVIDING someone has been groomed as a trusted leader to carry the torch.
With the platform of the party, this is far more likely to happen than within the Labour Party – where there was a 30 year gap between the prominence of Benn and Corbyn.
Whether you like it or not there is an appetite for Corbyn led politics. Look at the polling for the hypothetical party as proof. Corbyn losing twice as Labour leader means very little – because he doesn’t have to win for there to be an appetite. 10-20% of the vote clearly indicates an appetite for that style of politics.
Maybe they should lower the voting age to 10 ?
Or they could give the convicted pedo’s a vote, they keep letting them out of jail so surely they will vote for Kier!
