It seems like a long way and road around.’x but if you’re not taken care of as a veteran, don’t encourage anyone to join the armed forces.

Speak out about how poorly you have been taken care of after you served the country.

      Seems like if people stop
Enlisting they can force the people that have to be cared for.

    2. Dismantle the VA to privatize Veteran’s health care.
Dismantle the Dept. of Education to boost private schooling.
Defund the FAA to privatize air traffic control.
Defund FEMA to privatize disaster recovery.
Defund NOAA to privatize weather forecasting.
Defund NASA to further privatize space access.

It’s a lot easier to break things than to build them. Someday, people are going to want these agencies back and it will be difficult and expensive to restart them.

Can’t wait to see „stepping on an IED“ was the fault of the soldier, therefore long term care denied.

“Honor and respect the troops. Unless they want money, health care, help with their mental or physical health, or to say mean things about me. Then they can go fuck themselves. MAGA. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.”

    6. How can we get sh*t like this through to MAGA? How many veterans support him? It’s all so frustrating…

    7. Own-Bullfrog7362 on

All the time and money put into gathering, training and coordinating specialists into a working operation, just to be scattered in the wind. Some will probably never exist again. What a shame.

It’s ironic that the folks who made boogymen out of Soros and Gates and basically signing the government over to Their, Musk, Acker, and Litnick with spoils and deregulation also going to Bezos, Andersen, Zuckerberg, and Ellison. Who knew the Koch brothers and Murdoch’s would qualify as better angels.

privatize the entire military then. If you’re going fuck over soldiers, do it twice, send them to some bullshit war, then send them to corporations for „care“…. because corporations give a fuck about people, almost as much as the united states government does.

    10. Embarrassed-Crazy112 on

Of the 12% of military that voted in 2024 election 65% of them voted for this while the majority didn’t vote at all. Enjoy it.

I bet the only providers for veteran healthcare authorized by the new regime are going to tell me I’m going to hell for being queer and that if I dont convert, I will be put in an institution.

America is dead. Crazy…so many fantasized about defending the constitution when this day came and literally everyone just rolled over and took it. That’s all it took.

Half the care at twice the price. Adding a further profit motive will literally kill vets by denying many the quality care they deserve and earned. Selling out vets to make the health care industry execs even more obscenely wealthy than they already are. Disgusting.

    14. Tiger_virus on

Damn he really meant it. If you’re a veteran and voted for him you’re a stone cold sucker. And all veterans will now be losers.

    15. This has been the GOP plan all along. They want to privatize everything for their corporate friends then get kickbacks for doing so.

    16. No_Hamster_7128 on

Nightmarish, this move. Privatizing the VA will be a complete disaster and a horrible disservice to vets.

    17. Trump campaigned on the corrupt establishment only to insert himself and show them they weren’t being as corrupt as they could have been.

    18. The VA does lots of important work, but running hospitals doesn’t seem like one of them. Shouldn’t we just give Vets 100% free Medicare and let them go wherever they want?

    19. Accurate_Ad_7642 on

I have a question for all the military folks here – from what I know, the military votes heavily Trump. Do you any regret among the peers? Do they see any of this? Or care?

    20. My cousin worked as a pharmacist for the VA for years. Since Doge they made everyone come into work 5 days a week and sit in make shift desk areas. Hers was crammed in a corridor along with many others.

This is after years of WfH which worked great. She said her work output plummeted after being made to go into work. And she has since quit, like many others.

They are designing it to fail to make an excuse to privatize.

Doge was never about making government agencies work better, it was about making them not work at all.

It’s a fucking scandal, these people are destroying the fabric of our country and our lives in order to exploit it for profit to the nth degree.

We desperately need an effective opposition to this destruction.

So basically aside from trying to get the roads fixed, my taxes are 100% useless for me?

Atp im just paying taxes to get these fuckers rich…

    22. It almost seems like conservatives are openly at war with the American people.

    23. 61% of veterans voted for him. It was an open book test. I’m tired of advocating for groups that don’t want to be helped. I also don’t fetishize veterans so good luck to them.

Welcome to the Cyberpunk future. You’ll have to pay through the nose just to have dirty water, junk food, and toxic air.

    25. Don’t we know about privatization? Just a lesson from the military.

Iraq: 155,826 private contractors vs 152,275 troops. 35 percent of diplomatic personnel who had worked with armed contractors in Iraq between 2003 and 2008 reported having to manage the consequences of actions by armed contractors against local citizens. And nearly 40 percent had witnessed armed contractors acting in ways that were unnecessarily threatening, arrogant, or belligerent while deployed, including throwing objects at local civilians to clear them off roadways.

    26. KeytotheHighway on

Once this is finished, an administrative layer will get set up to skim a percentage of the funds into private hands leaving less benefits for the Vets.

    27. Well maybe our military men and women will begin to shift their points of view? The veterans I know feel betrayed.

    28. CrimsonHeretic on

I mean he did call those who serve in the military „suckers and losers,“ nobody can possibly be surprised by this.

Well, unless of course they’re a moron.

    29. Start more wars to increase profit margins! Our republicans are brilliant!

We’re only six months into this circus 🎪 and he’s going to continue destroying what’s left of this country. Dismantling the VA? So disrespectful and wrong. What are our Vets going to do? He’s not going to privatize anything for anyone.
