Ich habe es zwischen den Zähnen eines Tierschädels gefunden, möglicherweise eines Hirsches. Es stammt aus dem Jahr 1818 und stammt aus dem Kanton Waadt (Waadt). Ich hätte es wahrscheinlich behalten sollen, aber ich habe es dem Chefarchäologen gegeben. Und jetzt verrottet es irgendwo in einer Kiste im Keller.

I’m sorry you had to learn it that way… What a great find though!
Not worth a fortune but still a nice collectible. Assuming you do metal detecting as a hobby it would be a nice trophy. And they are not that rare that an archeologist could re-write some history from that.
TIL that «Batzen» were actual coins.
