Because the tariff hurts the states! And if you put tariffs on most of the damn world, then you might as well just buy Canadian.
I am so grateful Harper and Trudeau got all those trade deals done before the lunatic in chief got reelected.
CUSMA is giving us the space to wait him out, something the EU didn’t have, leading to them signing that terrible deal.
