I think we should respond by cutting off electricity, and applying a 70% export tariff on oil and potash effective immediately.

    2. USMCA goods still exempted. This is another whack announcement with little change to current situation.

All that matters is what the hell we negotiate post USMCA.

    3. Something to keep an eye on tomorrow: Carney said he would adjust our counter tariffs on U.S. steel and aluminium after the deal deadline.

Also, not clear to me whether this new rate includes energy or potash (currently 10%), or whether the 25% tariff rate for autos and auto parts would now be 35%

A decade long plus rule from liberals about to get way worse now without a trade deal. Well done to those who voted for the destruction of their own country. Hope it was worth destroying millions of jobs just to save an overpriced dairy monopoly.

    5. I think Canada should wait it out, 6 months max and corporate America, small business will be screaming the public will be screaming.

Honestly, we just raise tariffs on our end and continue to negotiate with other countries. We just dig in as there’s nothing we can do or say that will truly appease the man baby. The pedo needs his distraction.

      He can go F himself.

    7. Canada should just let the tariffs happen and retaliate as planned. Give it two weeks, the US will be asking to return to the bargaining table. But don’t rush to it without guarantees of good faith negotiating. This will not end until the US feels economic pain. It’s the only way.

    8. We probably shouldn’t deal with pedophiles anyways. I think reinstating the digital services tax now would be appropriate.
