Turns out that when you have a gaggle of fascist morons puncturing the arteries of the government and systems of operation, you’re going to start to hemorrhage money.

Who would have thought that putting a tried and tested sociopath in charge would result in this?
It’s way too early to know an exact amount yet. They to took a wrecking ball to decades of work and the total is probably much higher.
Hopefully this gross performance goes down in history and they teach children about „Elon the Clown“ in many years to come.
It was a cyberattack to get our data. No more, no less.
No shit, it was a smash and grab of data and kneecaping of anyone after musky.
Elon paid his $290 million to support Trump and got his own little DOGE department to go rip apart any department or agency investigating him or his companies, or anything else he didn’t personally like. It was *never* about saving money …
That’s the outcome of basing policies on conspiracy theories.

Who’d have thought that running the government like the social media company you bought because nobody loves you would be a colossal fuckup?
Elon got rid of so many fed agencies and lawsuits that were negatively impacting his businesses. He improved his life at the cost of hurting most americans, he was efficient at his purpose i guess? Have some respect for vivake, he bailed at the jump when he saw it was all a sham.

We all knew that eventually it’s going to come out that they wasted more money than they will save for dozens of decades. This was never about saving money, it was to get data and get elements of government that throttled their plans to transfer wealth out of the way.
Let me state that again for MAGA, this was simply another transfer of wealth, and you bought into it hook, line, and sinker. They were successful in getting people out of the way that will stop future endeavors to do more of the same. Slash Oversight. Slash Regulations. Slash programs to protect consumers. Slash programs to help the minorities and unrepresented.
Bonus – steal mass quantities of data on ALL US citizens to use against them in future endeavors.
Millei actually kept social safety net programs for the most part despite being paraded around by small-government-only-when-convenient folks.
Yep. Because it was never really about efficiency.
But they put on a dumb show for MAGAts while stealing all our personal data and looting god-knows how much from programs like Social Security and Medicare. So from a shit-heel MAGA troll’s point of view, it was a raging success.
So, is *anybody* surprised?
How do we set out to undo the damage? Clearly, the first step is getting Republican, bought politicians, and incompetent people out.
But then what?
And what is anyone going to do about it? Nothing! Congress is a joke
DOGE was Trump’s gift to Elon for rigging the election for him.
Elon used DOGE to chainsaw any regulatory body that previously stood in his way, and also installed backdoors for critical systems that he will take advantage of when it’s advantageous.
The grift was the point, the theft the prize; the efficiency was just theater dressed up as virtue to sell the lie, stealing very sensitive / personal data in the process… it’s so painfully obvious from the very beginning.
It was a cash grab that will continue to funnel money into corrupt pockets.
