Bullshit Justin. Go back to spitting on your fans instead of just lying to them.

Lyme disease is one of the worlds most misdiagnosed diseases. They either miss it completely because it take a specific set of test to find or they misdiagnose it often as fibromyalgia.

I have no skin in this game whatsoever and traditionally think celebrities are awful. I’m gonna believe him this time.

    4. He went from being so liked in the early 2000s to being intensely disliked.

So Lyme disease is now the new euphemism for alcoholism? As a tick a would be so insulted.

It’s so sad . A local DJ in the Bay Area a few years back had it . Sadly not around anymore .

That’s a tough one to deal with, would definitely explain his issues recently. I had a young friend in Philadelphia deal with this and it’s rough. Hope he’s ok.

This is going to get a lot of flak. But there is no such thing as “chronic Lyme disease”. It’s a common scam that quacks use to trick people into ongoing ineffective treatments to profit off of them. There are huge online communities built around this scam.

Here are the IDSA guidelines on Lyme disease management: https://academic.oup.com/cid/article/72/1/e1/6010652

Here’s a NEJM trial showing no benefit for ongoing antibiotic treatment of “symptoms attributed to Lyme”: https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa1505425

There is plenty of other evidence to show that the symptoms often attributed to “chronic Lyme” occur in patients with no Borrelia exposure and likely represent other underlying etiologies.

      https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33735220/
(“The results suggest that symptoms often categorized as Chronic-Lyme-Disease (CLD) in the general debate, cannot be uniquely linked to Lyme disease. However, approximately 20% of the total group of patients showed signs of autoimmunity. “)

Idk why “undertreated” or “misdiagnosed” Lyme always gets brought up because we have so much evidence arguing to the contrary.

And I’m sure many of the people in the replies to this are going to list their anecdotes to which I’ll pre-emptively reply that the plural of anecdote is not data and I’m not posting this to go back and forth with you on the topic, I’m posting it to try and combat misinformation surrounding Lyme disease.
