      Based on that other article someone posted, young foreigners are committing most of the crimes by foreigners. Maybe not such a great idea to focus on young, lesser educated people, especially for the trainee intern visa

      So these Foreigners that are coming to increase Japan’s economy, can’t improve the country they are leaving economy?

      And all 66% of them are wrong. Economically speaking, this is the WRONG time to increase foreign workers when the local economy is having a downturn. This will cause a further decline in trust of government (if any remains) along with other knock on effects.
      But hey, some companies got a taste of hiring a foreign worker for 800 yen a hr. Some of the foreign workers or temp foreign workers, like Nepalese, don’t have a tax treaty with Japan. So any nenkin payments they made will not be able to be returned to them(especially if they’re only here for 3-5yrs)like other countries (who get at least 3yrs back). They’re basically paying the nenkin for the older population while they will get nothing for it.
