      And they probably make damn good paths. And I love the fact that Norway pays them fairly instead of taking advantage of low salaries

      Great handiwork, and utmost respect to the workers. However: these paths don’t improve access, rather the opposite. The monotony of your movements on the steps is not very ergonomic. On a natural trail you choose your footing as fits you best, which is a superior way to trek. They do corral people and avoid further damage to the area surrouding the paths. And also improve the impression of accessability leading to way more people walking.
