      The only good thing trump as president has brought to the US is that every undecided issue are now under the microscope; the republicans are looking for loopholes and the Democrats are looking for new ways to enforce the law as intended.

      Cool, maybe they’ll form a committee to discuss the possibility of considering to research whether it would be civil to maybe someday if the donors approve issue a non-binding resolution to ask the Trump regime to pretty please cooperate if he feels like it.

      The GOP is, in no uncertain terms, enabling Trump and his history of sexual assault. Yet all of the headlines are about Trump. Enablers keep “victims victimised and reinforce the power and control of the abuser.” (Dr. Rachel Taylor, Abuse and the Enablers, 2023)

      Mike Johnson, who shut down the House to avoid a vote to release the files, is the parent who says, “don’t take about it.” Pam Bondi and Karoline Leavitt are the siblings who choose to further victimize rather than upset their own world. Vance and hundreds of other Republicans are the friends and neighbors who don’t look too closely because they don’t want to know…but they know.

      The Republican Party is shielded when we only focus on Trump. The entire party must be held accountable.

      What i want is for them to *have some goddamn balls* and *do something actionable.*

      The current supreme court majority appears to be in his pocket as much as it can be, or at bare minimum, has a vested interest in keeping their party together. i will believe that this gets results when i see results. otherwise, this is just asking them nicely and hoping that the people – the very same people who are comfortable considering pardoning sex traffickers to cover their own crimes – might be willing to play by the rules.

      It’s not „Trump’s Epstein Fiasco“, and it’s not „Trump’s One Big Beautiful (Budget) Bill“, or „Trump’s Trade War“ (updated today … https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/major-developments-trumps-trade-war-2025-05-26/). They won’t, but Republican leadership can always push back, up to and including Impeachment and Conviction. These are the Republican Party’s policy scandals, and Republican Federal and State politicians should be tarred by all of them by sustained aggressive Democratic campaigning. Republican’s and their extremely wealth donors are backing Trump 100% where it counts for pushing the continued economic destruction of middle class and poor American citizens. Very minor push backs from Republicans haven’t and won’t impact their campaign, except to attempt to distance themselves somewhat from the results for the mid-term elections.

      I’m seriously amazed at how long this Epstein controversy has been big news. Trump has always been masterful at redirecting to the next big controversy (whether intentionally or unintentionally), but this just ain’t going away. The fact that he can’t seem to keep his trap shut is making it all the worse for him.

      IMHO, they didn’t find anything new suddenly. They have a bunch of stuff on him because he didn’t care,lived a life of a scumbag, and used to get away with everything. Times change and now those things are getting a bigger caliber platform and become much louder. They’re playing it smart by driving every find to maximum and then throwing in new stuff.

      I wish I could say that it’s bizarre that the rhetoric from the right is overwhelmingly NOT “we need to expose these pedophiles so we can get justice for these girls.” The barely-even-subtext subtext is always “the democrats will pay for doing pedophile things to these girls.”

      It’s not a fiasco, it’s the truth.

      We are genuinely fucked as a functioning country. Steven Hassan’s “The Cult Of Trump” is a great book but reading it in 2025 is incredibly saddening. He lays out almost exactly what will happen and it did. The goal posts will always be moved, the leader will always be exonerated. Even excluding independents who assumed a lying liar wouldn’t lie to them so he could stay out of prison, there are tens of millions of people who are going down with his ship

      Deprogramming someone from Scientology or the Moonies will be a breeze compared to the colossal challenge of unplugging trumps core base from the ecstatic state of nothingness they’ve spent the last ten years of their lives in
