Also reisen wir morgen früh mit Ryanair, und als ich die letzten Details zu unserer Buchung überprüfe, habe ich festgestellt, dass sich die Gepäckregeln geändert haben. Es ist ein paar Jahre her, seit ich mit dieser Firma gereist bin, also bin ich mir nicht sicher.
Ich habe vor Jahren mehrere Flüge mit diesem genauen Koffer als kostenlose Handtasche unternommen und hatte nie Probleme oder musste nie eine zusätzliche Gebühr zahlen. Es ist ein klassischer 55x30x20 cm Koffer. Laut der Website von Ryanair haben Sie jedoch nur einen kleinen 40x30x20 cm -Rucksack zugelassen.
Bin ich nur betrunken und habe diese Messungen immer gleich gewesen, und wenn ja, mache ich mir Sorgen um nichts? Oder haben Sie ihre Regeln in den letzten Jahren tatsächlich geändert, sodass Sie zusätzliche bezahlen müssen, um diese Art von Koffer auf einen Flug zu bringen?

No idea but ryanair is kinda strict. Just try it. Worst that can happen is that they let you check it in and pay for it. Or use a smaller one to be safe
Did you pay extra for the carry-on or only a normal ticket for hand luggage? Carry-on is the 55. Hand luggage is only the 40.
Yeah i believe they stopped allowing the classic handbaggage for free. You used to be able to have a small suitcase + a „small personal bag“, now its just the latter
Strictly respect their measurements. I travel alot with Ryanair and they don’t fuck around when it comes to luggage.
Suitcase used to be free, not anymore. You have to pay extra.
Backpack/handbag is still free, but it’s smaller than the suitcase.
This suitcase ain’t a handbag nor a backpack. This is a cabin baggage.
A standard fare includes only a small bag. Like a backpack, or a sport bag, etc. Ryanair is very clear about this when you book a ticket with them by visualising what kind of luggage you may take.
You need to get the extra cabin baggage. It’ll cost you more now, because it’s post booking.

If your case is 55x30x20, they’ll make you pay ~60-70 euro extra.

yeah, for that size you need to pay extra.
And better pay before you leave cause when they check at the airport it will cost a lot more.
