It’s funny how Japan is by far the most anti EV out there. They reap what they sow.
Wet bulb temps don’t even need to be that high to start killing people. It’s not the temperature it’s the humidity as they say.
Japan’s biggest company is also the world’s leading funder of climate science denial.

Meanwhile here in north Italy we have had the coolest July for years, maybe decades.
Japan is a massive importer of fossil fuels. That alone is a good incentive to accelerate decoupling from this energy source. Middle East will forever be volatile. And these murderous temperatures may mean Japan could become uninhabitable during summer at some point within this century. 41°C with Japanese humidity equals lethal wet bulb temperatures.
I love this heat. However make sure you hydrate and like find shade don’t be fucking stupid
Meanwhile in Alberta, Canada our summer has been extremely cold and wet. Weather =/= climate folks, stop dooming.
Was in Japan in summer 2024, wouldn’t recommend, spring and fall are nicer seasons to visit the country. Beautiful landscape then as well.
