We tried to tell you going on a cloud based subscription model for products and services was bad. We told you shopping at Amazon was bad because it would kill your small businesses and communities.

Do not use Steam, use GoG. Do not purchase games with DRM. Buy actual books. If you can’t buy CDs, find archivable copies of music. Your access to these things will be essentially gone within the next 30 years. Hell, your ability to buy your own computer and do with it what you will will no longer be possible. Plan for that reality because it is almost here and certain to come.
