Hallo zusammen! Im Jahr 2023, als ich in Deutschland lebte, schrieb ich mich in einem monatlichen Abonnement in diesem Fitnessstudio ein. Als ich jedoch versuchte, das Abonnement zu stornieren, sagte mir die Rezeption, und ich kann ihnen eine E-Mail senden oder entscheiden, es nicht zu bezahlen, und es wird sich selbst stornieren. Und diese Leute schicken mir diese E-Mail in den letzten 6-7 Monaten immer wieder. Was ist hier wirklich los? Ich lebe nicht mehr in Deutschland.

The membership is canceled but since you’re getting this email every month, I guess someone or something didn’t go through properly. Your membership is still listed as active or rather unpaid in their database.
Tell them about it.
You owe the gym money and they already gave the invoice to an Inkasso-Company.
They claim you didn’t cancel your subscription, so the lady at the desk told you BS. You even have to proof that you actively canceled your subscription.
If you live inside the EU you are screwed and they will sue you if you don’t contact them, if you are in a third world country and never come back you could be lucky if you ignore it. (this is no legal advice)
You get these mails for months and just now look into it when you are about to return? Expect a hefty bill on top and a Schufa entry.
so you get these emails over half a year now and you did absolutely nothing so far to solve that issue? you owe them money. get in contact with them to pay what you owe. it’ll only get more expensive the longer you wait
