One word: digital ID. Ok so like maybe 2 words.
Maybe people are finally figuring out that being chronically online from the age of 8 isn’t the best thing for you mentally.
Because the internet made the world worse. Especially for the minds of kids. These countries are only just cottoning on how much the internet Its a weapon, the whole tech infrastructure is a trap. The whole of the blackmirror series pertains to your phone.
If you read Australian newspapers, they’re all 100% hard Zionist supporters and the govt doesn’t want people getting any conflicting information from online. They can’t ban everyone but starting with <16 year olds is a start.
So they can scan more children.
Why? You can’t even say words on youtube on the adult side of it.
Makes it easier for politicians to Epstein kids.

Australia has been a prison nation since it’s inception.
They had some of the hardest covid restrictions.
It’s to shut down the viewing of auditors on YouTube or in real life steaming showing the truth. The internet has been weaponised against the media and governments and they don’t like it.
I would ask why the industry doesn’t push back.
What’s the point of banning kids from a website where all the content creators self-censor all negative words (or else they get demonitized) and where your comments get deleted/account suspended if you type anything that is even slightly mean (or as YouTube calls it, „harrassing/threatening/hate speeh“ lol)? I feel like I’m treated like a child on YouTube, so it seems like it should be an okay place for kids/teenagers.
I’m not saying anyone should change their minds about it – but this is a question of who you trust the most/least of the government or Mark Zuckerberg/Sundar Pichai
The internet hasn’t been „free“ in decades, the vast majority of it is run by elite tech bros – and they’ll do anything to make more money, even when it’s harmful to children (see Instagram and how they knowingly fed anorexia accounts to children)
So, who do you trust the least?

Mass internet censorship has been a goal for a long time, l remember the YouTube of old days, you could go down some crazy rabbit holes, now it just shadow bans everything and it’s impossible to find any content they don’t like
They hate that they can’t safely brainwash entire generations in echo chambers anymore. For example, between WWII and the dawn of the internet there was SIX media conglomerates that controlled 95% of all information everyone in the United States received – and they’re global conglomerates.
I believe they can watch it. but they can’t have an account.
Still, pretty cooked here in Australia.

Of course once porn has been hit there are those viloence causing games
And the movies with gore and no artistic value
And all kinds of media promoting poor morals and bad ethics

But I always thought something should have been done, like, 25+ years ago to somehow verify kids’ ages but not just 16, more like 13 and under.
