Many people outside the West believe that the West has double standards in dealing with Russia and Israel. What do you think?
The West needs to remember that the same people who are calling for the death to Jews in Israel also call for the death to America, and to Western Ideals overall.
If the terrorists who turned Gaza into a terror camp are allowed to remain in place, extremists throughout the region and the world will start taking hostages, and blowing up cafes in order to get what they want, because they’ll have clear evidence it’s effective.
What? Most western countries are Pro-Palestine.
People keep giving non-Westerners zero agency. The fact here is that a substantial share of people in the „third world“ would pick China or Russia for clear-cut realpolitik reasons, like being willing to ignore local corruption even more.
And the general population outside the Arab and muslim world simply doesn’t follow the conflict that much either way. And in those cases, the overwhelmingly autocratic regime type in that region of the world means it really doesn’t matter what public opinion. Though there is a case to be made that Trump (not the west) is specifically damaging relations with the Saudis for no good reasons.
What’s the similarity here? Russia started their war; Israel didn’t. Hamas needs to surrender.
And when are countries like Norway, Ireland, and Spain going to care about the Druze?
Even if the West sides with Palestine, you think „The Global South“ will return the favour with Taiwan or Ukraine?
The strange thing is that the Jews have been almost completely peaceful for the last 2000 years, they were a minority everywhere, they almost never formed armies, occupied places and committed massacres, wherever they were, they helped develop the countries they were in by doing important jobs such as merchants, doctors, translators, etc., but throughout all this time they were constantly oppressed, exiled and subjected to massacres in almost all of Europe, and now they are establishing their own state, committing massacres and genocide, and the West is supporting them.
