The west is way too much reliant on China. Smartphones or any electronics assembly might shift to India, but what about EV batteries? China not just has an advantage here, they are the top dogs. Idk how US and EU let that happen, that too within Xi’s rule which clearly took a more authoritarian alignment.

India and China have been competing on water and borders, now even exports to the west. I have a feeling in the next 10-20 years the relationship will get much worse.
