    1. From reporter Li Zhou:

Former President Barack Obama added to growing calls for aid in Gaza as dozens of Palestinians have perished from starvation and global experts warn of looming famine in the region.

Obama’s statement comes as Israel has resumed its military offensive in Gaza, and imposed a blockade of goods that has stymied access to food, water and medical supplies. Although Israel has previously claimed that there are routes for aid to enter the Palestinian territory, physicians, human rights organizations and civilians have reported scant ability to access or distribute these resources, growing cases of starvation and violent attacks by Israeli soldiers at aid sites.

      A *genocide* being *perpetrated*

Not a “travesty” that is “preventable.”

      Come on, Obama.

    3. Honestly this travesty could be a blessing in disguise as the children in need have brought a pause to the war. Israel has conducted air drops of food, other Arab states will join, GHF will continue to distribute, UN and other aid organizations will begin again in aid. Everyone is stepping up! Hamas needs to use this pause to help get food to their people. If everyone starts to work together then this conflict may have seen its final days. In the darkest hour is when hope arrives. 🕊️

    4. Call me crazy, but maybe the college kids who were protesting this shit were fucking right..

Generally speaking I think President Obama was a great president as far as presidents go. However at a time like this we need people who are bold and prophetic in speaking out against the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Not just carefully worded political speak. Furthermore when he was president he had an opportunity to do more than he did. To his credit he did get the blockade on Gaza to be eased which helped improve the economy there in the 2010s. But he’s also complicit in funding Israel’s brutal campaigns in 2012 and especially in 2014 when the Israeli government was already carrying out war crimes there.

100% of starvation is preventable in the modern world, and yet we insist on letting capitalism exist instead

Coming 22 months later from the guy who signed the MOU program to give them free F35s until 2028. The same ones dropping bombs on children. Thanks Barry!

Should have said something when his boy was in office.

All the fucking centrists who were screaming about Israel’s „right to defend itself“ and are only now speaking out can fuck right off. I’m glad they’ve seen the light, but literally thousands of humans died while they counted their AIPAC donations. So many people have blood on their hands and so few will face repercussions.

This is what the former POTUS advocates for instead of aid for the citizens of his own nation? SMH no wonder people dont bother to vote or vote for catchy slogans like America First. We keep being told we can do both yet i still see folks living in poverty struggling here as billions in aid go around the world. Maybe saving the world ought to be the rest of the worlds problem, America cant afford it anymore.
