Na jednu stranu 30 rokov dozadu by nikomu neprislo divne zakazovat predaj porno casopisov 10 rocnym. A z dobreho dovodu.
Na druhej strane si idem otvorit VPN business v UK. Ked ani zdegenerovany narod ako rusaci ktory si dobrovolne necha poslat zdochnut vlastne deti na front neposlucha zakaz o VPNkach tak si nemyslim ze nadrzaneho teenegera niekto od online porna udrzi. Uvidime.
Myslím si, že to je dosť nebezpečný precedens pre budúcnosť, a to hovorím ako človek, ktorý nepozerá porno. Je dosť možné, že podobné veci sa budú aplikovať aj na „normálny“ obsah a tam už skončí sranda.

The following has been my experiance so far.
I think this law is ridiculous and easy to circumvent so I was never worried that it would impact my internet usage more than minor inconvenience.
I also think this is a ticking time bomb from a cyber security perspective as people will be social engineered into sharing sensitive data to fake ID verification systems.
I have used Cloudflare Warp to use a different DNS for basic TV and Movie streaming as my old ISP would block these sites, no impact from the ID verification system so far as these are not legitimate sites.
The first impact I saw from the change was that some reddit NSFW sites were not showing in my home feed, then I noticed that a lot of links to youtube embedds don’t work because you have to verify your age even if the content is SFW. whats upsetting about the reddit NSFW subs is that a lot of them are support subs for alternative lifestyles or substance abuse.
When I knew the restrictions in force I went to a sample of maybe 6 porn sites from a quick search of best porn sites, 3 required age verification, 3 did not. The ones that did not require age verification are not mainstream and look to include more hardcore content so are exactly what the UK government want to restrict against, so that is obviously going to backfire as these sites will be more popular.
I did not use a VPN before but within 5 minutes of having access restricted I had two free options installed, Opera with its built in VPN and protonVPN. ProtonVPN has had something like a 1400% increase in installations in the uk since the change happened.
I’ve been online since the mid 90s, this is an embarrassing law introduced by a highly conservative government that has not been revoked my a centralist government.
No ak je to o tom, ze posielam kopiu dokladu nejakej KYC sluzbe tak je to mega riziko a lahodka pre hackerov. Vraj ale v EU by to malo fungovat cez “Zero Knowledge Proof” kde overenie prebehne na vasom zariadeni a kryptograficky sa posle len dokaz o tom, ze mate 18 bez toho aby sa odhalila informacia o vas. Tie Zero Knowledge Proofs je sposob ako dokazete ze disponujete nejakou informaciou bez toho sby ste ju odkryli, znie to zvlastne ale funguje to. Ak to bude takto nemam s tym problem.
