To those wondering about the 1st England penalty. It was a double kick, and prior to a very recent law change would have simply been disallowed and counted as a miss. So Beth Mead getting a second chance was advantageous to England.
Watched this in the same pub that three years ago decided to air a Scottish Premier League game with Celtic vs Aberdeen over the previous women’s Euro final, where we beat Germany 2-1. Went to the pub next door instead.

First ever England side to win an international tournament on foreign soil.
1966 and the 2021 (held in 2022) finals were at Wembley. As was the Euro 2020 (held in 2021) final which England men lost.
Lucy Bronze playing the entire tournament with a fractured tibia is absolutely mental. I love Chloe Kelly and think she’s an amazing player but Lucy Bronze is just out of this world
Honestly, after losing back to back finals against Spain across all levels, I was ready to lose again!
I don’t think people realise how insane it is to see England not only winning tournaments, but winning on penalties too, that simply didn’t happen 20 years ago
