Im guessing the guard didn’t know who he was?
Regardless what was he hoping to achieve by going out of his way to push someone for seemingly no reason while theres dozens of people filming.
Hopefully he can still get work as a tesco security guard in future.

Regardless of you opinions of him , that guard was out of line and is probably regretting it now lmfao

      Today.

Brave Garda, showing how big a man he is by shoving an elderly man in his 70s. He’ll have a great story to tell the lads back in the barracks now, or maybe to GSOC.

Begs the question how he’d treat a 16 year old kid he didn’t like the look of if there wasn’t a crowd around or camera phones. I’ve little time for Healy-Ray and his BS, but this guy has no place in the Gardai lkmg term.

    4. No context. Why is the road relatively clear and people standing and filming. Definitely not being offered the whole story here. Was the guard trying to clear the road only to be faced with Danny acting up like any other piss head on the day?

Surely we need context before judging the action.

Why is the guard acting hard, squaring up to an old man either way no need to push him in the first place

Garda are fucking dickheads – so much so that they have me siding with Danny Healy Rae

    7. As other’s have said I’m no fan of Danny but that kind of aggression from the gardaí is concerning

    8. It doesn’t matter whether he knew who he was, it was uncalled for. Healy Rae would be well within his rights to make a complaint here and I hope he does.

    9. So unnecessary, he only had an aule disco wobble. Regardless of who he is, he’s an older gentleman that was disrespected in front of a crowd for no reason. I’m sure policing the streets for an all ireland is an absolute pain in the hole, but absolutely no need for that. I’d be chosing my battles wisely.

LMAOOOO you can the body shape change when the guard went to stand up to him and quickly realized who he was, fucking cabbage

No fan of the Healy Raes but the guard was definitely out of order. If one of them can do that in eyeshot of hundreds of people can only imagine what they can do when nobody else is around.

I’m generally pro Gardai (law and order in general) and not a fan of the Healy Raes but this was stupid stuff by the Garda. In a big crowd doing things like this will only cause aggro and escalate a situation, needlessly causing hassle and turning the crowd against them. Completely wrong and silly.

    13. I’m not a fan of Danny Healy Rae, but that guard is completely out of order. It really doesn’t look like Danny was doing anything wrong, and did the guard then push a young girl afterwards?
Too many guards (especially the younger ones) are just thugs.

The entitlement and untouchability of our politicians. People in the comments are bananas saying the aggression is over the top, yet the same people would complain about our crime problems?

Imagine what this guard is like when there isn’t a hundred people looking at him

Garda on one big time who tf does he think he is squaring up to anyone. What a joke

The guard was right. He probably had enough dealings with drunken apes today and last night because I know I had.

Thats cathedral street. Its not closed to traffic because pissheads wanna drink in the street.

It leads to a carpark for the Gresham hotel and the actual back of the hotel plus there’s a taxi rank on it and parking spaces.

Its not pedestrianised as Healy Rae seems to think. Just because you work in Dail Eireann doesnt mean you are above the law or because yer gas craic fulla porter neither.

The Garda’s parents still have potholes, outside their house maybe 🤔

    19. They’ll always act tough until it comes to someone that actually deserves it lmfao

    20. Rotten thing to do to someone. He should lose his job. Whether it was for political reasons or just a random assault, to do it in uniform should be taken seriously.

Somebody must’ve pissed in his pancakes this morning.
The ould man was just happy celebrating

This is the pathetic wanker who wanted to allow drink driving in Kerry. They genuinely sent a resolution to the minister for transport
