      Who actually gives a shit what it’s called, what matters is whether it works.

      If it turns out to deliver the benefits of a tram at a reduced cost, and passengers like it, then great.

      Did a bit of googling.. they are Van Hool Exqui City articulated buses. Even the manufacturer calls them buses.

    6. They bought bendy buses in York. They were a complete pain in the arse as they hadn’t checked whether they would go down some of the roads (they couldn’t – they were too wide).

      I notice in the article they’ve said the buses would need some roundabouts to be removed – so why are they buying them then rather than normal ones that don’t need infrastructure improvements? Seems like some strange decision…
