„Staff Shortages“. You mean not replacing people and expecting people to pick up the slack, doing two peoples jobs, then everything going to shit when that person burns out and quits and there is no slack left to give. With the job being extreamly unactractive to now do, as it’s a complete mess, with no handover, and minimal pay.
This is delibrate short term thinking to save money, that has left them unable to do their commitments.
The whole EA will soon be run by one guy, I can see it coming.
My workplace is a registered flammable facility with major hazard potential, we use to get the HSE and the EA do at least one audit a year. I’ve not seen them in about 3 years now.
The simply don’t have the time for existing case load, yet alone any incidents that occur.
