As someone who has watched his podcast, the „woke elements“ is obviously tongue in cheek because there is no way Bobby Lee or anyone else would consider him woke.
Maybe it’s because he admitted to raping a 13 year old prostitute in Tijuana?
Bobby Lee only has one sense of humor and its pretty fucking lame.

While those elements do exist, I would not say they are the reason for Bobby’s failure
I’m starting to feel bad for him. I grew up watching Comedy Central in the 2000s & got pretty into comedian podcasts in the 2010s and despite his prevalence throughout my life I can’t find anything interesting about him. Lazy stand up and a trash actor, I feel bad shitting on him cuz he doesn’t seem that smart and he’s probably too old to learn new skills
Bobby Lee is known for being unreliable in the industry. Almost booked him for a show but there was a really weird clause in his contract about not being taxed for being longer than an hour late to the set.

i just binged this show. i had no idea who this guy was. i still don’t really know who he is.
what i do know is that he was very bad at acting in this show. comically bad. he was actually a distraction.

I like the people mad here are clearly ones who didn’t read the article. He doesn’t speak negatively at all about the show, says Parker is the nicest person.

I love that all of these comments are from people who didn’t watch the show. The first 2 seasons were incredible “woke” with POC, Trans and non binary etc. The fans of the show were not thrilled with the show’s stories not because they don’t support those issues but because the original series never had a “message” it was just about 4 girls in the city doing their own thing. The audience just thought the “woke” stuff came out of the blue and didn’t make any sense in the context of a pre existing set of characters.
That being said Bobby is notoriously late in his personal life and has poor hygiene. Who knows why he wasn’t asked back. He insists on his podcast that when he’s cast in a role he’s always professional but who knows.
I feel like legitimately there’s no way to track what is woke or not while using this TV show.
It very much plays by its own rules as far as casting and storyline.
Also, and I mean this sincerely, It is probably one of the worst things ever produced for TV or film or „art“ in general.
