This is where reddit talks about how no one cares enough about Africa, before moving on to the next thing to be righteous about.
Africa is fucked. We should be there helping. Stfu about colonialism so that we can do so.
So people in Sudan is killing each other. So is anyone going to step up to be the world police? And even if someone is willing to do so, what can we do short of conquering them to maintain order? Which, of course, will be accused of colonialism.
The world is a violent place. Remember Haiti. Nothing will be done. It is going to get worse, before it gets much worse.
ICC is pretty much pointless without any enforcement power. Case in point, Putin is branded as a war criminal. So what? The ICC has less power than a toddler crying on the ground of walmart demanding a toy.
A horrific situation that is not getting enough attention.
It’s not about Palestine/Israel. So no one cares. People in Africa dying in 100ks and every journalist, every justice warrior is in Palestine.
The only solution to Sudan will require military intervention from a country willing to become an international pariah or okay with being called neo-colonists for helping. Since no one wants that mantle, eventually enough people will die for the situation to quell on its own and it will be another footnote in human history. Call me cynical but that’s how I predict this will play out.

Seems like Islamists tend to be at the root of most of the issues in the region, begging the question of how to rid the region of extremists who are hell bent on using the Koran as their excuse to kill.
