Edit: I’m sorry you had to deal with that. That’s just an asshole being burned out on the gig economy and taking it out on customers and not his shitty employer. Totally uncalled for behaviour. An Post is a different vibe altogether, I find them great.
They are definitely terrible. What TDs kid owns this company? That feels like the only reason they’re still in business.
Fastway are the absolute pits. I’ll never understand why the fcukers don’t ring the bell or knock on the door after they just dump the parcel on your driveway.
Worst of the worst and their terms will only cover up to €30 if lost of stolen
I say this whenever Fastway pops up in conversation, they are not in the business of delivering packages, they are in the business of selling franchises. Quite often the guy delivering the package has paid Fastway for the privilge and is earning a tiny commission per package and is probably very unhappy at being essentially indentured to Fastway.
Fastway are utterly abysmal. I just don’t shop with anyone that uses them as a courier anymore.
Arse way
Yeah delivery drivers can be hit and miss but totally agree that fastways is the absolute worst. Shoutout to Tesco delivery drivers though, everyone of them has been sound
UPS attempted delivery when I was out, left no receipt, and when I eventually found out a week later and went on their site, it listed as ‚Refused a package with C.O.D charges‘
Shower of cunts
Am I a lone voice to champion fastway ?! Never had an issue with them , my delivery drivers have always been angels. Dpd on the other hand …..
I’ll be honest I find any of these delivery companies grand. Depends where you live I guess.
Dpd are worse don’t even attempt to leave my package at my house just leave it at the local shop and expect me to go pick it up
They are awful, here in Limerick there isn’t even a number to contact them.
I must be very lucky. I have two different fastway drivers that deliver to me. One doesn’t much if anything at all. He rings the doorbell and leaves the parcel at the door. The other guy rings the doorbell and waits until I come to the door. He is very polite. He even calls me Sir.
Yup. Agreed.
Sh!te.
They S.U.C.K.
By a mile. If I order something from an online shop and they use Fastway I never order from them again.
I dunno, GLS give them a real run to the bottom
*LAUGHS HYSTERICALLY IN GLS*
There’s the right way, the wrong way and the FastWay!
Isn’t that the *wrong* way?
Yes, but faster!
I have many a story
An post, dpd, dhl, ups, all the companies deliver into the porch which is open but dry and a good place to leave items out of sight. Whether it’s a new driver or the first time the company is delivering, I never need to tell them because they know to leave it in the porch.
Fastway (or fastwench as we call her) always, without fail, puts it halfway down the driveway in the pissing rain. Except when it doesn’t rain, then she puts it in a bin. I have even told her, you can leave it in the porch if I’m not at home, but she simply refuses. They are by far the worst delivery company.
There does not exist (in Ireland at least) a delivery company as poor as Fastway.
Other companies may have issues from time to time but this lot go out of there way to be complete fuck heads. From deliberately making it impossible for people to be able to contact them by phone to lying to there business customers that they have attempted delivery of an item to a buyer. They are full of practices that in any proper country with oversight would get them shut the fuck down.
I hope and wish they go out of business.
Complete scum.
I’d rather pay a 20 euro delivery charge than ever use Fastway again.
Never had a good experience with any fastway driver I’ve come across. Must be one of the worst jobs imaginable if they are all so angry and on edge all the time. I have started to avoid using them whenever possible. Even how dangerous they drive is mental.
5 years and you haven’t learned your lesson yet? how long more before you order from a different website?
I used to have shite luck with them but whenever they’re used as a courier, I religiously use their Authority To Leave (ATL) function in their dispatch emails. I just tell them to leave it in a specific location and leave. No need to bother ringing me or waiting for an answer.
DPD on the other hand are a nightmare. Once or twice left the delivery at the wrong address. I also remember they delivered an Ikea order and he tried to rare up at me saying “you kept me waiting for ages” pointed my phone number out to him on the package and said “next time, ring the number on the box bud” and left.
I don’t think that’s fair at all. Calling them names like that is uncalled for in my opinion. For it to be true they’d actually have to successfully deliver a package. Only then is it really fair to call them a delivery service.
Yeah but ever try and pay for UPS?
Then you’ll know why Fastway is the best choice low value high volume deliveries
