Rubio was reportedly summoned by President Donald Trump on short notice. The Presidential Office said Korea and the U.S. are “maintaining close coordination through various channels” in an effort to contain the diplomatic fallout. However, analysts see the canceled meetings as U.S. pressure tactics targeting Korea’s current negotiation posture. The message, they say, is clear: Washington wants more in terms of “investment expansion” and “agricultural market openness,” the two main levers in the talks.”

I heard from some Korean friends that Korea is extremely pissed off at Japan for fucking themselves so badly with the horrible trade deal they made. Now there’s no real negotiating with Trump because he’s going to want the same horrible deals from Korea.
I have no doubt the trade talks were: •
“America will tariff you 15-25% and you will not reciprocate. You will pay much much more for military aid. You will also spend billions for factories in America. The end.”
Is there any country left in the world that the US doesn’t treat with hostility?
