Didn’t find any mention of Cyprus there tho.
Makes sense.
🤣🤣🤣🤣eu protect us? They don’t even their own kin(Ukraine) let alone us
Trying to see why this is relevant here.
I hope Turkey doesn’t make an unwise move and accept this. But under this government, everything is possible.
One of the most successfull country of EU presses its‘ agenda onto EU, enforcing all to follow its‘ success 🤣
This is completely sensible lmao
Can you guys stfu in a minute
Greece’s policy is very clear when it comes to Turkey:
It supports Turkish Ascension to the EU only after Turkey relinquishes its control over Cyprus. Greece will continue to veto any Turkish-EU plans until the western powers agree to some of our terms. It worked when Greece tried to get Cyprus in the EU.
It would have been nice to be part of it if not its not that that important. Turkey will never remove that casus belli. Eu defence fund had more to gain from Turkey being part of it considering the capabilities of the Turkish defence industry. Especially on the ammo production side.
Will the EU allow this though? Turkey is too useful politically and military wise.
Fair enough. I think we should leave the mediterranean be. Our future is in the east, not the west.
Meanwhile Greece continues it’s policy of appeasement of Turkey despite Turkish atrocities in Imbros/Tenedos 1926, Istanbul 1955 & Cyprus 1974. Any normal country would have expelled the Turk ambassador, severed diplomatic relations & closed Athens FIR to all aircraft flying to or from Turkey. Instead it closed it’s FIR to Russia who has done no harm to Hellenism.
Serious question , if Turkey genuinely wanted to improve its global reputation, what would it actually take?
Would officially recognizing the Armenian genocide, apologizing for it, giving symbolic land back, withdrawing from Cyprus, granting Kurdish autonomy, and fully separating religion from politics finally make the world go on their side?
