Why was gen-z supporting Trump in the first place? Did they not learn their lesson when they voted the first time thinking “it’s just a joke”?

How did they not know he was a chronic sexual abuser before they voted for him ? too little too late

I have a suspicion that we’re going to see another „Nixon choice“ come along.
Resign and we’ll bury it. Stay and we’ll release it.
I don’t have any data to support that except the whole Wall Street Journal play.

Gen Z need a reality check, if they ever trusted a billionaire beloved by Putin, Epstein, Murdoch and Bibi.
Billionaire racists don’t care at all about Gen Z, and it shouldn’t require much class consciousness or being gay or a person of color, to notice all the red flags of this racist idiot

Epstein is probably one of the reasons. He also isn’t delivering on his promises of lowering prices, new jobs and no wars. He is making inflation worse, it’s still hard to find a job, and he hasn’t ended conflict in Ukraine and Gaza, and is bringing us closer to war with Iran.

I think genZ is too old for his tastes now. May be 10/20 years ago they were his type.

What does him losing support from voters even matter now that he’s emperor?

I’ll believe it if I see it in the midterms and in 2028.
Let’s say it’s true. This is what it took? None of his country destroying policies or actions lost him real support. Remember that.

Seriously? That’s what it took. 3 minutes of video tape missing from Epstein’s prison cell is what it took for them to turn on Trump?

I feel as if a lot of my generation is so engrossed in social media and being online, that they just don’t care to fact check things and do their own research. I also feel like they’re out of touch with how the real world works and operates.
I got rid of a majority of my social media at 18, I didn’t delete my accounts or anything, I just stopped using the apps all together.
In more recent years I’ve gotten back on Facebook (family) and Instagram (send a ton of memes to family and friends) where I follow a lot of therapy pages (working on resolving generational trauma and such), news, happy things like cat videos, etc. I try to expose myself to what’s going on daily and keep up to date.
I voted for Kamala and Tim in the elections, as they were the lesser of two evils in my eyes. Nobody is perfect in this world, but I will not vote for people who are actively trying to destroy America in my eyes.
I’m registered as a democrat, but I vote for who I think will best fit the position based on background, experience, and such. I’m in Oregon, so we get a ton of information to read through to make an informed decision on who we vote for. I always read everything that applies to my district, city, etc. I don’t just rely on that either, I do more research on Google and try to make sure I’m getting the full picture.
I’m active in every election for city, state, and federal positions that apply to me that I’m eligible to vote on.
I’m only 25, but I’m trying my best here. I don’t like the group mentality of grouping a whole generation together and condemning them. I’ve seen that done with every single generation. You can’t just generalize people like that, and I do my very best not to.
I will definitely say my generation needs to put in more effort to realize what goes on in the world on a day to day basis, what affects them and others, etc, so they can shape their future into something better hopefully. I worry about what future generations will be like as well, considering a lot of the kids/teens are growing up engrossed in screens, social media, etc and not actually building social skills, friends, etc and having experiences in the physical world.
I try to keep positive to the best of my ability, but I can definitely understand how difficult it is to do that nowadays. :/
